Clinical Supervision

As a qualified (AASW accredited) social worker, I am currently available for clinical supervision sessions online, via video.

My practice and supervision frameworks center intersectional feminist, abolitionist and decolonial critiques, values and visions. I view gender-based and interpersonal violence (including sexual and family violence) as stemming from colonial violence, racial capitalism and carceral logics. My approach to healing and recovery therefore seeks to cultivate ethics of relationality, care, and intimacy while actively attending to dynamics of power and privilege. Through consciousness-raising and body-based practices, I hope to resource individuals and communities toward freedom and collective liberation.

My approach to supervision emphasises the practitioner-self; compassionatley understanding your experience of and responses to support work through your personal identities, lineages and body-mind. Supervision often involves tending to your own nervous system with vulnerability and embodying the skills and qualities you intend to share with clients.

My practice experience and wisdom extend across the following areas:
  • ~ Gendered violence counselling (including family violence and sexual assault)
  • ~ Trauma-informed practice, somatic counselling + psychotherapy
  • ~ Alternative justice (including restorative and transformative approaches)
  • ~ Sex, intimacy and eroticism
  • ~ Cultural attachment, isolation and belonging (for European-descended practitioners and clients)

Supervision sessions can focus on the following:
  • ~ Counselling skills + therapeutic framework development
  • ~ Reflexive practice, including supporting practitioner accountability to intersectional and liberatory ethics and practice
  • ~ Experiences of burnout and vicarious trauma in the context of navigating oppressive structures, institutions and workplaces
  • ~ Strategies for self-care and collective solidarity
  • ~ The impact of direct-client work on the personal self (distinct from personal therapy)

My counselling frameworks draw from the following modalities:
  • ~ Attachment-based theory and approaches
  • ~ Parts work (Internal Family Systems and Structural Dissociation)
  • ~ Somatic psychotherapies (Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Body-Mind Centering and Politicised Somatics)
  • ~ Sexology (Somatic Sex Coaching and Wheel of Consent)
  • ~ Cultural Attachment (Embodied Ancestral Inquiry)
