Clinical Supervision
As a qualified (AASW accredited) social worker, I am currently available for clinical supervision sessions online, via video.
My approach to supervision emphasises the practitioner-self; compassionately understanding your experience of and responses to support work through your personal identities, experience, ancestral lineages and body-mind. Supervision often involves tending to your own nervous system with vulnerability and embodying the skills and qualities you intend to share with clients.
Supervision sessions can focus on the following:
- Counselling skills + therapeutic framework development
- Reflexive practice, including supporting practitioner accountability to intersectional and liberatory ethics and practice
- Experiences of burnout and vicarious trauma in the context of navigating oppressive structures, institutions and workplaces
- Strategies for self-care and collective solidarity
- The impact of direct-client work on the personal self (distinct from personal therapy)
My counselling frameworks draw from the following modalities:
- Attachment-based theory and approaches
- Parts work (Internal Family Systems and Structural Dissociation)
- Somatic psychotherapies (Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Body-Mind Centering and Politicised Somatics)
- Sexology (Somatic Sex Coaching and Wheel of Consent)
- Cultural Attachment (Embodied Ancestral Inquiry)
